Our Holistic Approach

The Transformative 4 R's

At Nyumba Ya Tumaini, we believe in a comprehensive, phased approach to transforming the lives of street-connected boys.

Our "4 R's" model ensures that every child receives the care, support, and opportunities they need to thrive and build a sustainable future within their community.

Rescue

We remove boys from the immediate dangers of street life, ensuring their fundamental rights are protected.

This initial step provides a sanctuary with temporal care, security, nourishment, and all other basic needs, creating a stable foundation for their journey of healing & growth

Re-Socialize

Economic empowerment of reintegrated families to keep their children together

Connect boys to community programs, cultural programs, through school and vocational training, church, recreation and sporting facilities and health centers

Rehabilitate

Rehabilitation is a journey of healing the mind, body, and spirit.

We provide our rescued children with spiritual guidance, one-on-one counseling, and comprehensive psychosocial support.

Reintegrate

The ultimate goal for many is to return home.

Our team facilitates meticulous home tracing to reconnect rehabilitated boys with their families and communities.
